The Tripoli-based Libyan Coast Guard intercepted 134 migrants on Monday evening, said the U.N. Refugee Agency (UNHCR).

The migrants were disembarked at Azzawiya Oil Refinery, where UNHCR and the International Rescue Committee (IRC) were present to “provide urgent assistance to survivors.”

UNHCR reiterated that Libya is not a safe port to return refugees and migrants to.
