The Governor of the Central Bank of Libya (CBL), Siddiq al-Kabir, has agreed with the Deputy Governor of the Central Bank of Egypt, Jamal Najm, to set a framework for joint cooperation.
This came during a meeting in Cairo Tuesday in the presence of advisers and managers of the two banks, according to CBL statement.
The meeting comes in implementation of CBL’s plan to build capacity, develop performance, and transfer successful international expertise and experiences, the statement said.
This development is the culmination of discussions that took place last September with the Governor Central Bank of Egypt, Tariq Amer, on the sidelines of the eleventh session of the Libyan-Egyptian Joint Higher Committee, with the participation of the Libyan Prime Minister, Abdel Hamid Dbeibeh, and the Egyptian Prime Minister, Mustafa Madbouly.
