Libya’s Foreign Minister, Najla Mangoush, met today the U.N. Special Envoy, Abdoulaye Bathily in Tripoli where they discussed the latest developments in the country.
According to a statement by the Tripoli-based foreign ministry, Mangoush expressed the readiness of the Government of National Unity to work with the U.N. towards “the success of the political process and the concrete start of the path towards political stability, which will soon lead to the holding of presidential and parliamentary elections.”
For his part, according to the ministry, Bathily indicated support for the work of the government for the electoral process and the importance of establishing a consensual path under the aegis of the Libyans.
