Libya’s House of Representatives on Monday voted unanimously to approve a proposal for holding the country’s presidential and parliamentary elections within 14 months.
The proposal, which was prepared by the House Roadmap Committee, also stipulates that the House consult with the High Council of State (HCS) to present a final version of the constitutional amendment within a week.
A new prime minister would also be selected by the House and the HCS on Thursday, according to the proposal.
