Sabha – The Libyan Red Crescent branch in Sabha announced on Tuesday that it has raised its alert level and activated its emergency plan in anticipation of changing weather conditions and expected rainfall in southern Libya.
The branch said on its official page that the emergency team is on standby around the clock. It confirmed its readiness to respond quickly to any urgent situation or sudden change in the weather, and to provide necessary humanitarian and relief services.
It added that emergency teams aim to respond to humanitarian calls, protect lives and property, and meet the needs of residents in the city of Sabha and its surrounding areas.
The Libyan Red Crescent called on citizens to exercise caution and to contact the branch’s emergency room if they need humanitarian or relief assistance.
