A Libyan solider was killed on Tuesday during clashes between forces of the Libyan National Army (LNA) and armed groups of the Chadian opposition near the borders between the two countries, sources told The Libya Update.
The LNA’s Tariq bin Ziyad Brigade initiated the attack against the Chadian armed groups after intercepting their mobilization in the Asida mountains.
According to the sources, the Chadian opposition groups targeted by the LNA are affiliated with the Front for Change and Concord in Chad, which assassinated Chadian President Idriss Déby.
