Tripoli – The “Libyans for the Homeland Movement” organization has expressed its categorical rejection and strong condemnation of what it described as a “systematic and suspicious campaign” aimed at settling illegal immigrants within Libya.
In a statement, it affirmed that this represents “a dangerous and unacceptable transgression that strikes at the core of national security and national identity.”
The statement asserted that these schemes constitute nothing less than “a blatant assault on the country’s sovereignty, and directly affect the dignity and future of Libyans,” stressing that the Libyan people will not accept them under any circumstance or justification.
The organization called on all “honorable and zealous” people of the nation to stand as one in defense of national sovereignty and to thwart all attempts aimed at destabilizing and striking at the unity of Libya, its land, and its people.
The statement concluded by affirming that the Libyan people will remain committed to their national identity and to the values of democracy and social justice, stressing that any infringement upon these constants will be met with widespread popular rejection.
