Saddek Omar El Kaber, the governor of the Central Bank of Libya (CBL), held a telephone conversation on Wednesday with British Ambassador Carolin Hurndall to discuss “issues of common interest,” according to a short statement by the bank.
This notably comes a day after El Kaber hosted Italian Ambassador Giuseppe Buccino at the bank’s headquarters in Tripoli. The bank did not disclose the exact subject of their talks, stating only that they “exchanged views on some issues of common interest.”
