Cairo – As part of the distinguished sporting achievements of the national karate team, champion Nizar Qais bin Hamid won gold in the junior Kumite under-70 kg category, while champion Hammam Al-Qazla secured the bronze medal in the individual Kata under-21 competition at the North African Karate Championship held in the Republic of Egypt. With this achievement, Al-Qazla has brought new pride to Libyan sports.
In the same context, champion Saeed Al-Ghazzawi added another bronze medal for the national team in the individual Kata competition, marking a new accomplishment in the same championship.
On another note, champion Walaa Al-Sharaa, who demonstrated an outstanding technical level in the individual Kata competition, was also crowned with the bronze medal, proving her capability in regional competitions.
Champion Hani Lotfi secured Libya’s first medal in the tournament, winning the silver medal in the individual Kata competition after an exceptional technical performance, embodying Libyan excellence in a championship that included major participating countries like Egypt, Tunisia, Algeria, and Morocco.
Libyan champion Sama Al-Fraitis was crowned with the silver medal in the individual Kata under-21 competition at the North African Karate Championship held in the Republic of Egypt. Al-Fraitis delivered a distinguished technical performance throughout the tournament, securing this significant achievement for the Libyan sports record.
Champion Ibrahim Al-Aqel achieved a remarkable feat by winning the bronze medal in the -55 kg Kumite competition at the North African Karate Championship held in the Republic of Egypt.
Additionally, champion Abdulrahman Mohammed added a bronze medal to his list of achievements in the under-40 kg Kumite competition at the same championship.
