Libya’s Oil Output Reaches 1.4 Million Barrels per Day, Says NOC Chief

Chairman of Libya’s National Oil Corporation (NOC), Masoud Suleiman, announced that the country’s crude oil production has reached 1.406 million barrels per day, with condensate output at 53,500 barrels per day and natural gas production standing at 2.55 billion cubic feet per day.

Suleiman presented the latest operational indicators of Libya’s energy sector during a briefing to Prime Minister Abdulhamid Dbeibah, head of the Government of National Unity. He affirmed that development and exploration projects are progressing, aiming to boost production capacity and enhance the sector’s financial sustainability.

The meeting also reviewed updates on the memorandum of understanding signed with ExxonMobil, covering exploratory studies in four offshore blocks. Additionally, it addressed the outcomes of recent NOC meetings with Schlumberger in London, which focused on advancing digital transformation and improving the efficiency of exploration and production operations.
