The Institute for Diplomatic Studies of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Libyan Government hosted Libya’s representative to the International Criminal Court, Dr. Ahmed Al-Jahani, on Saturday for an important academic lecture. The event was attended by department directors, members of the Institute’s scientific committee, and the political attachés studying there.
During the lecture, Dr. Al-Jahani provided a detailed explanation of the establishment and jurisdiction of the International Criminal Court, focusing on the Libya-related cases being handled by the court. He reviewed the court’s operational mechanisms and its approach to cases related to achieving justice.
The lecture was marked by extensive interaction from the diplomatic attachés, who showed great interest and raised important discussion questions, reflecting the Institute’s commitment to enhancing legal culture and developing the skills of diplomatic attachés on topics of human rights and international law.
This event is part of the Institute’s academic plan and is held under the directives of the Minister of Foreign Affairs, Abdul-Hadi Al-Hweij, with the aim of enhancing legal and diplomatic awareness among the staff of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
