Chief of Staff of the Security Units at the Libyan National Army (LNA), Lieutenant General Khaled Haftar, has received a high-level delegation from the US Army at LNA headquarters in Rajma east of Benghazi.
The meeting discussed issues of common interest, most notably enhancing security and military cooperation between the two parties, and exchanging expertise in the fields of training and combating terrorism.
During the meeting, Lieutenant General Khaled Haftar stressed the importance of partnership with the US side in supporting regional stability and enhancing security capabilities, noting that this cooperation represents a positive step towards achieving security and peace in the region.
For his part, the US delegation praised the role played by the security units in Libya, expressing its readiness to support joint initiatives that contribute to enhancing security and confronting current security challenges.
