The executive management of the National Development Agency (NDA) has announced the launch of an emergency relief convoy to Tarhuna city and other flood-stricken areas in western Libya. The convoy is set to depart early this morning, following orders from the General Commander of the Libyan National Army, Field Marshal Khalifa Haftar.
The directive comes in response to the severe weather conditions caused by a low-pressure system that resulted in torrential rains, widespread flooding, and extensive damage to properties. Entire homes and livestock in Tarhuna and surrounding regions have been submerged, leaving many residents in urgent need of assistance.
The relief mission underscores the NDA’s commitment to supporting affected communities and providing essential aid during natural disasters. The convoy is expected to deliver critical supplies, including food, medical assistance, and emergency equipment, to alleviate the suffering of those impacted by the floods.
