The Secretary-General of the Libyan National Army General Command, Lieutenant General Khairi Al-Tamimi, met Tuesday with a high-level delegation from the US Army, in the presence of LNA Chiefs of Staff of and military leaders.
The meeting touched on a number of important issues, focusing on ways to enhance joint cooperation between the two armies, especially in the areas of security and defense.
It also discussed the coordination of efforts between the two sides in combating cross-border terrorism, and the exchange of expertise and modern technologies in this field.
Lieutenant General Khairi Al-Tamimi expressed the importance of these meetings, which contribute to strengthening relations between the Libyan and the US armies, and work to achieve security and stability in the region.
The US delegation stressed its country’s commitment to supporting Libya’s efforts in combating terrorism and enhancing its defense capabilities.
