Ahmed Maiteeq, the former deputy head of the Presidential Council in Libya, said that the Libyan people have the right to choose their president and a new legislative body in the country.

“Members of the Political Dialogue Forum exercised their right to choose the Presidential Council according to the conditions, mechanisms, and terms of reference stipulated in the road map a few months ago, and the process was successful,” Maiteeq tweeted today.

“The Libyan people have the right to choose their president and a new legislative body with the same mechanism, conditions, and terms of reference on December 24, 2021.” Maiteeq added.
