The meeting of the Higher Supervisory Committee opened with a speech by Ibrahim Ali, Chairman of the Higher Committee for Supervising the Implementation of the National Strategy for Performance Monitoring and Anti-Corruption (2025-2030), at the headquarters of the Administrative Control Authority in Tripoli.
Ibrahim Ali highlighted the importance of activating the role of the committee and its subcommittees, and benefiting from successful experiences and international expertise in implementing the national strategy’s provisions to promote the principles of transparency and integrity in public institutions. He stressed the importance of joint action to create a model for a corruption-free state and the necessity of unifying efforts to achieve Libya’s future vision.
According to the Authority’s media office, the committee’s working mechanism was discussed during the meeting through the presentation of a draft of activities proposed for implementation during the last quarter of 2025. These included important themes such as: commemorating International Anti-Corruption Day, enhancing regional and international cooperation in combating corruption and money laundering, in addition to defining the next steps for activities proposed for implementation in 2026 to ensure the achievement of national goals.
The committee aims to ensure the effective implementation of the strategy, which focuses on enhancing oversight of government performance, consolidating transparency mechanisms, and preventing and combating corruption. This contributes to raising the efficiency of institutional work and strengthening citizen confidence in public institutions.
