Misrata – The first Royal Jordanian Airlines flight arrived at Misrata International Airport on Thursday. It departed from Queen Alia International Airport in Amman. This arrival marks the resumption of regular air travel between Libya and Jordan.
Misrata Municipality reported official welcoming ceremonies for the aircraft. The Municipal Council and the airport director attended.
The traditional aviation salute involved spraying the plane with water. Flights will operate twice weekly. These will be on Sundays and Thursdays. This step is expected to facilitate citizen travel. It will connect them to various international destinations. This will occur through the Royal Jordanian Airlines network.
