Suleiman Al-Harari, the chairman of the House Committee on Internal Affairs, has called on Libyan Libyan authorities, including the House of Representatives, to declare that “the elections cannot be held on December 24 as scheduled”.
In a publicly released statement, the Libyan lawmaker cited a number of causes for elections postponement, including technical challenges facing the High National Election Commission (HNEC) and failure of the Libyan government to secure the electoral process after recent attacks on courts.
