Muhammad Al-Abani, a member of parliament, called on the House of Representatives to comply with the demands of the Libyan people and hold the general elections as soon as possible.
During a parliamentary hearing on Monday, Al-Abani expressed reservation about the parliament’s decision to form a new interim government, which in his view would “prolong the transitional period”.
