Sirte – Mohamed Al-Ameil is a member of the Sirte Gulf Sports Club administrative committee. He announced a mutual agreement. The agreement terminates the contract of Tunisian coach Chaker Meftah. Meftah was the head coach of the club’s first team. Coach Chaker Meftah had been with the Sirte Gulf Sports Club. He served as coach and supervisor for the first football team. His tenure began on February 16, 2025.
Al-Ameil told the Libyan News Agency that the club chairman thanked Coach Meftah. Meftah served the club for nearly one year. He was described as a loyal and diligent coach. The club wished him all the best in his future endeavors.
Coach Chaker Meftah was born in Zaghouan, Tunisia, in 1957. He has extensive coaching experience. Meftah previously worked in the Libyan Premier League. He coached Al-Olympia in Zawia. He also managed many Tunisian league teams across various divisions. These include US Ben Guerdane, Olympique Béja, EGS Gafsa, Étoile Sportive, and AS Soliman. The Tunisian coach achieved notable successes. He notably led several teams to promotion to the Professional First League. He also gained coaching experience in the Jordanian League.
The Sirte Gulf Sports Club management committee announced plans for a new first-team coach. The selection will be exclusive. Candidates must submit a comprehensive CV.
