Libya – The Governor of the Central Bank of Libya, Naji Mohamed Issa, held an extensive meeting. He met with the Head of the Libyan Audit Bureau, Khaled Shakshak. Several department managers and specialists from both sides attended. The meeting aimed to enhance institutional cooperation. It also sought to integrate the roles of the two institutions.
According to the Bureau’s media office, the meeting reviewed the Audit Bureau’s observations. These observations concerned the performance of the Central Bank of Libya. Key indicators and results were highlighted. Discussions also covered aspects related to performance development. They aimed to improve work mechanisms. This aligns with the Central Bank’s strategic goals. It also enhances its institutional efficiency.
The Bureau’s observations on the approval of financial statements were discussed. These statements cover the years 2017 to 2024. Requirements to expedite their approval were also addressed. The cooperation of Central Bank departments in this regard was noted.
At the end of the meeting, both officials affirmed the importance of joint work. This work serves the public interest. It ensures smooth procedures. It also raises performance levels. They emphasized mutual trust between the two institutions. They are keen to support shared goals.
