Tripoli – The National Planning Council held an expanded meeting Sunday. It met with the United Nations Development Program (UNDP). The meeting established a new strategic partnership. This partnership aims to support development paths in Libya. It will also aid institutional transformation.
Council head Dr. Ahmed Khalifa Ibridan chaired the meeting. UNDP Resident Representative Sophie Kimkhadze participated. Several executive and technical leaders also attended. House of Representatives member Fatma Al-Swaiei was also present.
Discussions focused on cooperation mechanisms. Key areas included strategic planning, sustainable development, and capacity building. Enhancing digital transformation and renewable energy programs was also discussed. They also aimed to improve government performance. This will contribute to developing national institutions. It will also support the institutional reform process.
Both sides affirmed the partnership’s goals. It strengthens data-driven planning. It also bolsters effective international partnerships. This supports economic and social stability. It enhances opportunities for sustainable development in Libya.
The meeting concluded with an emphasis on future actions. Joint programs and projects will be implemented. This will enhance the efficiency of national institutions. It will also support the country’s development and reform efforts.
