Lieutenant General Shuaib Yousef Al-Saber, Chief of Staff of the Naval Forces, held an expanded meeting with the engineering officers of the naval units, in the presence of Rear Admiral Abid Masoud Jouda, Commander of Benghazi Naval Base, as part of the follow-up of the technical efforts to develop the naval fleet.
During the meeting, the Chief of Staff stressed the importance of the technical and professional role of engineering officers, especially in preparing the concepts and technical specifications required to modernise the naval vessels, in line with the General Commander’s Vision 2030 to modernise the Armed Forces.
The officers also reviewed a number of challenges and issues they face, both at the technical and administrative levels.
At the end of the meeting, the Chief of Naval Staff stressed the leadership’s commitment to overcome obstacles and resolve the issues raised, announcing the development of an external training plan aimed at raising the efficiency of engineering officers and enhancing their readiness to perform the tasks assigned to them with high efficiency.
