The National Development Agency (NDA) has announced the establishment of an Emergency and Rapid Response Center in Sirte. The initiative aligns with NDA’s Vision 2030 and aims to enhance national preparedness for emergencies and natural disasters.
The center will strengthen the capabilities of government institutions, and relevant agencies in crisis management, particularly in responding to climate-related disruptions, an NDA official announced. It will also support government decision-making and provide humanitarian assistance to allied and partner nations during disasters.
As part of its mandate, the center will develop strategic international partnerships in training, coordination, and resource mobilization to ensure a high level of readiness and effective response.
