Field Marshal Khalifa Haftar, the General Commander of the Libyan National Army (LNA) will not announce whether he will run for president in December until the constitutional basis for this year’s elections is set, said LNA spokesman on Thursday.

Speaking during an interview with Russian news agency Sputnik, Ahmed Al-Mesmari said Marshal Haftar’s long-speculated presidential bid is a “personal position”, which LNA is not involved in.
