The Syrian Observatory for Human Rights claimed on Monday that foreign fighters loyal to Turkey did not leave Libya recently.
“No fighters were intercepted to have returned from Libya to Syria,” said the organization’s director Rami Abdel Rahman.
He pointed that two groups of around 90 Turkey-backed fighters exchanged positions between Syria and Libya recently, but stressed that no group of Syrian fighters has left Libya permanently.
Libyan Foreign Minister Najla Mangoush said on Sunday that some foreign fighters have left the country as the unity government seeks to marshal international help to withdraw the many who remain.
