Libyan Oil Minister Mohamed Aoun discussed with British Ambassador to Libya Martin Longden how to increase the amount of oil and gas production, develop the fields, and achieve the goal of reaching the production and export of two million barrels per day.
Minister Aoun presented an overview of the sector’s most important activities and the role played by the Oil Ministry in supervising and monitoring the sector to develop and improve its performance, according to the Ministry.
For his part, the British Ambassador expressed his aspiration for further progress in improving the general situation to encourage investment in Libya.
The two sides affirmed their pursuit of joint cooperation to benefit from expertise, technology, training opportunities and experience gained in the oil and gas industry.
