Crude oil prices held steady at 78.03 on Thursday after rising above $80 a barrel this week.
Brent crude rose as much as 0.9 per cent to $80.22 a barrel early on Tuesday, hitting a three-year high record for the second consecutive day before settling 0.6 per cent lower at $79.09.
