Oil Workers Union rejects Audit Bureau request to transfer revenues to Dbeibeh’s government

The Libyan Union of Oil Workers issued a statement Saturday rejecting the request of the Chief of the Audit Bureau, Khaled Shakshak, for the National Oil Corporation (NOC) to transfer oil revenues to the government of Abdul Hamid Dbeibeh, describing Shakshak as a usurper of the position of the Bureau chief.

The Union said in the statement that Dbeibeh’s government operates in one city and had lost administrative, financial and security control over oil production and export sites, adding that it would not recognize any actions from Shakshak or Dbeibeh, and would not accept extortion or intimidation.
