Italian Special Envoy to Libya, Nicola Orlando, said he met with Niger’s Foreign Minister,Hassoumi Massou, where they confirmed that Italy and Niger share the primary goal of Libya‘s stability and territorial integrity.
“As immediate neighbors of Libya, we are concerned about the destabilizing impact of mercenaries and illegal trafficking in the region,” Orlando tweeted.
“We will continue to coordinate closely,” he added.
