The Libyan High National Elections Commission (HNEC) announced on Tuesday that 13,265 voters have registered during only 72 hours, in the period from August 8 to 11, for the presidential and parliamentary elections scheduled for December 24, 2021.
The number of new registered voters have reached 437,958 since the voter register was opened on July 4, and this brings the total number of registered voters in Libya to 2,778,034, according to HNEC.
It is likely that the Commission will close the voter registration after a week, as the extension of registration in the voter register will continue until August 17, 2021.
