The committee formed by the Parliament’s Health and Environment Committee held a meeting chaired by the Director-General of the late Ali Al-Ruwaie Hospital, Faraj Mohammed Al-Mahdawi, and attended by the committee’s Vice Chairman, Hassan Al-Zarqa, and its members, to discuss the proposed mental health law.
The meeting addressed the technical and legal aspects of the draft law, emphasizing the need for coordination with relevant authorities to ensure the comprehensiveness and effectiveness of the proposed legislation.
The final version of the draft law is set to be referred to the Health and Environment Committee for presentation to the House of Representatives, in preparation for a vote on it during upcoming sessions.
