The investigating authority has ordered the detention of the perpetrator responsible for killing an officer of the Central Law Enforcement Department branch in the city of Misrata, following a comprehensive investigation into the circumstances of the incident.
The Public Prosecutor’s Office stated that the Advocate General at the Advocate General’s Office in Misrata conducted an investigation into the circumstances surrounding the officer’s killing, who sustained fatal gunshot wounds inside the branch headquarters. The investigation established that an officer from the department’s branch (A. M. R.) committed the act.
Based on the evidence gathered by the investigator, the suspect was confronted with the incident and was ordered to be held in pre-trial detention pending the completion of necessary legal procedures.
