The Libyan Presidential Council has commended the meeting of the Chief of General Staff of the Army affiliated to the Government of National Unity (GNU), Mohammed Al-Haddad, with the designated General Commander of the Libyan National Army (LNA), Abdul Razek Al-Nadori, on Saturday in Sirte, considering this an important step towards unifying the military institution.
The Presidential Council, represented by its President, Mohamed al-Menfi, and Deputy Presidents, Mousa al-Koni and Abdulla al-Lafi, met on Tuesday with al-Haddad in Tripoli, where they discussed development of clear mechanisms to unify the military institution, and to expedite the building of a unified army, away from all political quarrels.
