Representatives of the Presidential Council and the United Nations met on Saturday to discuss preparatory meeting that would take place in December regarding the national reconciliation conference that the council is planning to organize.
This was announced by the council in a statement, specifying that meeting was between council’s deputies Musa al-Koni and Abdullah al-Lafi and U.N. Special Envoy to Libya, Abdoulaye Bathily, and U.N. Resident and Humanitarian Coordinator Georgette Gagnon.
Both sides also discussed “the latest developments in the situation in Libya” and “ways to advance the political process to hold elections,” as per the council’s statement.
