Benghazi, October 14, 2025 (Libyan News Agency) – Prime Minister, Dr. Osama Hammad, received the President of the University of Benghazi, Dr. Ezzeldin Al-Darsi, on Tuesday at the Prime Minister’s Office, as part of the government’s interest in developing the higher education sector and supporting its national institutions.
The most significant developments witnessed by the university’s faculties over the past period were reviewed, in addition to discussing mechanisms for launching modern postgraduate studies programs in partnership with Arab and international universities, in a way that enhances the quality of education and aligns with global academic standards.
The Prime Minister affirmed the government’s commitment to enabling graduates to integrate into the labor market by connecting them with major national projects supervised by the Libya Development and Reconstruction Fund, with the aim of utilizing their academic capabilities in nation-building.
He also stressed the importance of scholarship programs for top graduates to study abroad, which contributes to developing their competencies and opening new horizons for them in the fields of research and specialized disciplines.
For his part, the President of the University of Benghazi expressed his thanks and gratitude to the government for its continuous support for the university, stressing that this support has had a positive impact on the level of academic performance and has contributed to improving the teaching and scientific research environment within the university.
