Tripoli – The Public Prosecutor has ordered the closure of 60 shops and the arrest of those running them after they were found to be selling banned agricultural pesticides in the area from the city of Al-Zawiya to the Ras Ajdir border crossing.
The Public Prosecutor’s Office said in a statement that investigations were carried out based on information about the sale of prohibited pesticides in this region. Authorities inspected 68 shops and found that 60 of them were involved in the illegal trade.
The statement confirmed that the Public Prosecutor ordered these shops to be closed, the banned substances to be confiscated, and those responsible for trading them to be detained and brought in for investigation.
