The Deputy General Commander of the Armed Forces, Lieutenant General Saddam Haftar, held a phone call with the President of the Republic of Chad, Mohamed Idriss Déby, to discuss the latest security developments on the border between the two countries.
The call addressed the recent events in Chad’s Tibesti region, with President Déby affirming that the Chadian government is in full control of the situation and that the Chadian army has successfully secured and stabilized the border areas.
For his part, Lieutenant General Saddam Haftar expressed his appreciation for the measures taken by the Chadian army to enhance calm and stability in northern Chad. He stressed the importance of continuous coordination and consultation between the two countries to protect and secure their shared borders, emphasizing that Chad’s stability is of utmost importance to the state and people of Libya.
