The Deputy General Commander of the Armed Forces, Lieutenant General Saddam Haftar, met today, Tuesday, with the President of the Republic of Belarus, Alexander Lukashenko, at the Republican Palace in the capital, Minsk, as part of an official visit to the country.
During the meeting, Lieutenant General Saddam Haftar conveyed the greetings of the General Commander of the Armed Forces, Field Marshal Khalifa Abulqasim Haftar, to the Belarusian President.
The meeting reviewed aspects of bilateral cooperation and ways to enhance relations between the two countries in several vital areas. Military cooperation topped the discussions, alongside exploring prospects for cooperation in the economic and investment fields.
The two sides also discussed encouraging partnerships between the two countries in the infrastructure, industry, and agriculture sectors, aiming to contribute to promoting sustainable development and supporting reconstruction efforts within Libya.
