Kufra – As part of a follow-up on service and living conditions, Lieutenant General Saddam Haftar conducted a field visit to the city of Kufra, where he inspected several vital projects and reviewed the city’s needs.
Lt. Gen. Haftar began his tour by examining the Indian company’s residential project on Al-Hawari Road, which has been stalled since 2003. In a move aimed at addressing the housing crisis and supporting urban expansion, Lt. Gen. Saddam Haftar issued his directives to assign a local company to complete the project, which includes 1,500 housing units, to meet the needs of the city’s residents.
Following that, Lt. Gen. Haftar, accompanied by the commander of the “Subul al-Salam” Brigade, Sheikh Abdulrahman Hashem, visited the cooking gas cylinder bottling point. The facility, established under his direct instructions, is considered one of the largest gas distribution centers in Libya, with a production capacity of up to 350 cylinders per hour. During the visit, Lt. Gen. Haftar and Sheikh Abdulrahman Hashem discussed the city’s most pressing service needs.
At the gas bottling center, they were received by the center’s director, Engineer Talib Ali Mansour. Lt. Gen. Haftar praised the efforts made in operating the center, emphasizing the importance of providing essential services to the city of Kufra. In turn, the center’s director expressed his gratitude for the continuous support and follow-up the project received until its completion.
