The Municipal Council and Emergency Room of al-Kufra, the southeastern Libyan city, condemn national and international media allegations of the city’s involvement in the conflict in Sudan.
Spokesman for the Municipal Council of Kufra, Abdullah Suleiman, has denied reports that over 70,000 Sudanese refugees have crossed the borders into Libya. However, he warned that more refugees are expected to arrive if the conflict in Sudan continues for more than three months.

Commander of Subul al-Salam battalion of the Libyan National Army (LNA) in al-Kufra supported Tazerbu Detachment with a number of vehicles, weapons and ammunition, under the directives of LNA General Commander, Field Marshal Khalifa Haftar, to strengthen security of the Southeast and enforce law.
