Istanbul – General Saddam Haftar, Deputy Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces, met with Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan on Friday. The meeting took place during the closing ceremony of the SAHA 2026 International Defense, Aerospace, and Space Exhibition in Istanbul.
On the sidelines of the ceremony, General Haftar also met with Turkish Defense Minister Yasar Guler. They discussed key issues of mutual interest. Major General Abdulsalam al-Zoubi, Undersecretary of the Ministry of Defense for the Government of National Unity, attended the discussion.
The closing ceremony featured a significant international presence. Representatives from over 120 countries attended the event. Hundreds of international companies also participated in the exhibition.
