Sea line between Tripoli and Zarzis in Tunisia inaugurated

The first voyage for passengers from the port of Tripoli to the commercial port of Zarzis in southern Tunisia docked on Monday.

Other sea lines will follow with the Tunisian ports of Sfax and Goutlette, announced Libyan transportation minister Mohamed Shahubi to The Libya Herald.

The Tripoli terminal, Al-Shaab, had been closed for over 11 years.

The inauguration of the new passenger line for Zarzis is part of a larger plan to increase and improve connections between the two countries, the minister said, stressing that in the future other lines will be added to neighbouring countries.
