Tripoli – The head of the Export Development Authority, Mohamed Al-Hanqari, held discussions. He met with the Italian Embassy’s commercial attaché. He also met with the director of the Italian Trade Agency office in Tripoli. They discussed ways to enhance trade cooperation between the two countries.
The meeting reviewed key obstacles and difficulties. These challenges are faced by Libyan exporters to EU countries. Representatives from the Foreign Ministry’s International Cooperation Department attended. Directors of the Authority’s departments were also present. Representatives of Libyan companies exporting to the EU participated. These companies are registered in the Authority’s exporters’ registry.
During the meeting, the director of the Italian Trade Agency in Tripoli expressed readiness. The agency is prepared for full cooperation with the Authority. This cooperation concerns the conditions and requirements for entering the European market. The goal is to facilitate the export of Libyan products to Europe.
The Italian commercial attaché affirmed their view. He stated that the Authority is a strategic partner. The Italian side looks forward to joint trade cooperation.
