Taraghen – Dr. Zuhair Hassan Ali denied any recorded cases of Newcastle disease. He is a veterinary doctor and a faculty member. He works in the Public Health Department. This department is part of the College of Medical Technology, Murzuq, at Fezzan University. The cases were reported within the Taraghen municipality. He confirmed the disease does not transmit to humans. It poses no risk to public health.
This denial followed a field tour. The Murzuq Agricultural Police Branch patrol unit conducted the tour. It took place on Friday evening. The tour visited poultry farms. These farms are in areas within Taraghen municipality. The purpose was to verify rumors about a disease outbreak. This was done under instructions from Major General Ayoub Saleh. He is the Head of the Agricultural Police Agency in Murzuq Basin.
Brigadier Khamis Mohammed Ali headed the tour. He is the Head of the Taraghen Agricultural Police Center. Mohammed Saleh Al-Damka participated. He is the Director of the Taraghen Animal Health Office. Veterinary Doctor Zuhair Hassan Ali also participated. The visit covered several poultry breeding sites in the region.
After the tour, the veterinary doctor confirmed the region is free of Newcastle disease cases. He reassured citizens. He urged them not to follow rumors. He advised obtaining information from official, specialized sources. This ensures data accuracy and information validity.
