Abubaker Al-Taweel, Director of European Affairs at the Tripoli government Foreign Minister, received Owen Jenkins, Director-General for the Indo-Pacific and the Middle East and North Africa at the British Foreign Office, in Tripoli.
The two sides discussed enhancing bilateral relations, supporting Libya’s political process, and the potential resumption of British consular services in Tripoli to facilitate visa issuance for Libyan citizens. They also addressed efforts to lift the ban on Libyan civil aviation, according to the Ministry.
Additionally, the meeting touched on the outcomes of the visit by UK Minister of State for the Middle East, Hamish Falconer, to Libya and the mutual understandings reached to strengthen bilateral cooperation.
