Turkish troops in Libya continue to provide training for military forces affiliated with the Government of National Unity, as per a statement of the Tripoli-based government’s Army Staff.
In particular, this is the course called “Fundamentals of the Fourth Special Force” in which pro-government officers received training on various weapons and qualitative operations at the Advanced Center for Special Skills of the Libyan Central Military District.
The training also includes maneuvering skills, tracking techniques and targeting, as part of a high-level training program.
Turkey provides training and advice to pro-government forces under a joint military cooperation agreement signed in Istanbul in 2019 by the Turkish authorities and representatives of the former Libyan government.
