Britain will draft a new Security Council resolution on Libya to “help the Libyan people to move forward”, Gareth Bayley, the UK’s ambassador to Egypt, told Egyptian press on Sunday.
The British diplomat underscored that his country’s position on the Libyan crisis is “crystal clear” and it aims to hold the Libyan elections on December 24 as scheduled.
Bayley also reiterated Britain’s stance on the withdrawal of foreign forces from Libyan territories to “create conditions that will help complete a political and electoral process”.
