UN Special Adviser on Libya, Stephanie Williams, has stressed the need “to preserve the calm and support the political consensus, putting the best interest of all Libyans at the forefront.”
“Joined by Acting Head of UNSMIL, Raisedon Zenenga, I received a group of Libyan political figures in Tripoli today,” Williams tweeted on Saturday.
“They presented their proposals to address the current political impasse and to put the holding of elections back on track and promote the role and inclusion of women and minorities in the political process,” UN adviser pointed out.
“I stressed the need to preserve the calm and support the political consensus, putting the best interest of all Libyans at the forefront,” she added.
