UN envoy to Libya Abdoulaye Bathily said he discussed on Monday political process in Libya in a meeting with a delegation of political and social figures from Fezzan.
“In continuation to my ongoing engagement with Libyan stakeholders, I met with a delegation of political and social figures from Fezzan today. We engaged in a productive discussion on the political process and the importance of inclusivity, Bathily stated on X.
“Istressed the importance of accelerating the pace to establish an inclusive and unified approach to implementing a consensual way forward to achieve a successful electoral process in Libya,” he pointed out.
“The delegation reaffirmed their commitment to a constructive dialogue and urged for fair representation of their region in the upcoming nominations by the key actors, according to UN envoy.
